Thats alright, we will knock em off their dam perch and show em how a real footy team plays!
        - Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!

I bet it'd be the only time in history that Carlton wish they had Mick McGuane!
Sit down or i swear to God i'll have you shot.

                Alright...

St Kilda have had a great run.

                About time they lost one........

The last time a team got 200 at AFL level was in round 22 in 1995 when the Kangaroos did it against Fitzroy. At half-time yesterday it was looking like it'd happen, but the Saints took their foot off the pedal.

Not so sure they did it consciously....from what I've heard and read, they were told to show no mercy and Grant Thomas said they didn't play that well in the second half. On the flipside, I think Carlton were also embarassed into a stronger 2nd half showing.

                    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

remember when Carlton came to Sydney in 1994 (im pretty sure but the old memory is hazy here) and they were undefeated.

it was the first night of the AFL getting some Magic from Michael O'Loughlin, who at the time was skinnier than me.

so there is history of teams on a huge winning streak coming to an end in the Harbour City.

lets hope that continues this week.

                      cheers
                      John.

ps-anyone want some rain? plenty here!!!!

                        Ever the optimist!!!

Yes we could use the the rain. maybe at the SCG, the Saints, haven't played in the rain yet (a bit hard to rain indoors at TD).

I know we haven't played well in the rain this yr, but it could give us an advantage!!

well, considering the week or two that i have had, its weird that im being optimistic about this weeks match, especially with the history against the saints, especially in Sydney.

OK, ill have a word to an Indian at the pub tonight to see if I can send down some rain. anythings gotta work!!!

                          Cheers
                          John

ps-i know im in the wrong town, but GO FLAMES GO!

yes, well and truly happy about the sainters result. won't talk about the Port game....
