    Bad Teams

This year the bottom few sides, Hawthorn, Collingwood and Adelaide for instance have been terrible to watch. I would say overall the standard in the afl has fallen, or at the very least the gap between good and bad is as big as the early 90s where the swans were worse than the under 10s at my school... geez it was a bad time to go for the swans as a school boy :P

I do see your point, however I disagree about the fallen standard. Despite some terribly one-sided matches, I think the competition overall is reasonably even. Exception (as always) to this is St Kilda.

I think the standard has fallen. This year is one of the worst for quite a while in terms of overall standard. St Kilda and Brisbane are a cut above. St Kilda look particularly good because everyone else is so ordinary and they are absolutely brimming with confidence. However, if they drop a game, and they will, then I don't think they will quite as superior as they do now. They will probably still look like one of the best couple of teams, but not by such a margin.
