    Ess v Hawthorn slugfest.

Funny that CtS should mention 'better than sitting through a boring Ess v Hawthorn match on TV' in the thread on Jeff Wells.

What a cracker of a blue. Loved it.

Was watching the Adelaide v Carlton game on Fox, prefer the 'no ad' option. Switched over at 1/2 time to Ten and all hell broke loose about 30 seconds later.

Very interesting time at the tribunal I would imagine. I suppose the umpires will sit late into the night reviewing the tape to lay reports.

It was FAN-EFFIN-TASTIC.... I just love it when my two most hated teams slug it out...the poo-and wees at least had a shot at the bomber b*gg*ers unlike the marshmallows at Freo the previous week.... woooohoooo...I can't wait to see how many weeks Richie gets....My only concern is that a few of those bomber b*gg*rs will escape citing and penalty, thanks to the $20,000 "bribe" that Hirdy laid on the umps...
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

Loved seeing that bitch McPhee get towelled up by biting off more than he could chew with Vandenberg. Then squealling like a little gimp as he ran off the field for a cuddle with uncle Kev. Bombers might think they are hard but that little stoush showed that they really aren't all that ... Johnson takes cheap shots - about time he copped a few back.

Why does it not surprise me that Dermott Brereton is being mentioned as getting into the Hawks at halftime and telling them to draw a line in the sand ie inciting the Hawks to get stuck in physically seeing as they couldn't match the Bombers football-wise?

                  Sadly, Bombers will escape IMO.

Getting angry again about the $20000 investment Hird the stockbroker made.

The Bombers are the masters of the cheap shot ? gutter smart I call it. Hawks were just plain dumb and will go for a row of toilets at the tribunal while Bombers will get a few fines (maybe Murphy excepted, but he?s even dumber than the Hawks).

Some things never change ? they have been cheap shot merchants so as long as I have followed the game. As sure as night follows day if Essenden get behind on the scoreboard then there will be cheap shots galore.

For all that the brawl was great & every caller on WLF said the same tonight.

Surely some suspensions have to come out of this, rather than a slap on the wrist fine, if it applies to the protected ones @ Windy Hill is another thing altogether

I love it (I think Ive said that already). There were the Hawks screaming last year about the Piccione incident...and this from a team that had Dermie, Lethal Leigh, and the Dipper, to name just three thugs, belting opponents every chance they got...
Its also interesting that now LLoydie (the 48 second man) comes out with that drivel about the Hawks getting stuck into the bombers. And this a team coached by Sheedy...who's style of play has always centred on the man rather than the ball. If Essendon get behind, they ALWAYS start a brawl or incident...its in their game plan...In that regard they've learned a lot from Fos Williams and the scumbag maggies in the SANFL!
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

I'll lay you twenty to one on that it was a general frustration with his umpring that set them off
