Fox Sports World in Canada SUCKS

    Hello!

Having finally figuring out how and when to see a little of pre-recorded AFL here in Hockey mad Canada, I have become somewhat miffed at the selection of games.

I mean, one week it was Hawthorn vs Carlton. puh-lease. who honestly cares?

Anyhoo, thinking that our game against the toothless pies might actually get the Swans a showing on TV here, well NOOOOOO. Guess what scintillating game we got?

Geelong vs Brisbane from the week before!@!!!!

Who the hell does the programming choices here????? Anyone who thinks that the Cats and Lions would out rate the Swans and Pies ANYWHERE on the planet needs to have their frontal lobotomy completed.

perhaps one day this season i shall actually get to see some red and white on TV that hasnt got a Maple Leaf on it!

    Love from Vancouver
    John

ps-im glad im not back in Oz seeing as the greeks finally took that corner kick instead of opening up another fish and chip shop, and are now winning games of soccer. but im enjoying the portuguese processions on Commercial Drive Vancouver!

    Go the pork and cheese!

the veiw of the AFL is just as bad in the US of A let me assure you.
It was better when they used to show it at 12.30 in the morning, more people actually saw it.

good to know its not just us up here in the Great White North copping the rough end of the Fox Sports programming stick.

mind you, I just tried to find out this weeks game, and we've been wiped off the map. so lord only knows what they'll serve us up this week.

      cheers

Things must have changed in the last few years JM. It all used to be on CTV Sportsnet (whilst the Champions League was on ESPN and the Premier League TSN)

Once they showed a St Kilda Port game for the same 2 weeks.

And the AFL subscription where you can see replays of games the day after probably isn't worth it, hey?

        JF

PS:- PM me JM if you want tapes send over.

            lescygnes,

Try finding a bar (or some rich guy) who has the ABC satellite channel. I'm in Toronto and was having the same frustrations as yourself until I found a bar with this channel. Just got home from watching the Swans/Crows game - there is usually at least 4 or 5 games from each round played throughout the week.

tell me, how did you come across that one? ive not seen a sign or anything to be able to tell whether anyone here has this or not?!?!?!

and still no word on this weeks wonderful showing by FSWCanada.

              cheers from sunny Vancouver!
