    Tom Wills started it all

    Reading the history of Aussie Rules, its interesting to note that a NSW born guy called Tom Wills from Parramatta, was largely credited with the establishment of the the game in 1858. I wonder how many Victorians know this.

    Tom apparently moved to Melbourne at an early age. went to school in England and played Rugby and cricket. After returning to Australia, he wasn't happy with Rugby rules and with the help of his mates, came up with the early beginings of Aussie Rules.

      Yes yes, and Russel Crowe is a Kiwi. I'm so glad you are taking lessons in history and genealogy. Keep them coming. I'm enthralled.
