Is the salary cap allowance so new and unpublicised that it needed to be mentioned again?. God the Melbourne based coaches love a good deflection.

I guess you now know how it feels Mick - Just like Geelong knows what it is like to lose Grand finals to a club with concessions. Somehow, I think having complete access to WA for a few years is slightly greater than the 600,000 extra Brisbane is allowed.

Funny we didn't hear Mick complain about the team he got from that system.

That's further evidence of the greedy mentality that is prevalent among most footy players.

Brisbane are below the salary cap because their players have decided to get paid (for example) $150K instead of the $250K they could earn at another club because they want to win premierships. They realise they are on damn good money compared to the general public even though they are paid less than what they could earn at another club, and their emphasis is on winning premierships.

The sooner Malthouse and the like wake up to this fact, the sooner they will realise that the salary cap has nothing to do with it.
