Hawks set their sights on Judd

The offer for Judd is -

It's understood they have offered the Eagles their priority draft choice -- most likely first overall in the 2004 national draft -- as well as two players for the 21-year-old superstar.

They hope to sway the Eagles to use the No. 1 pick to grab local star-in-waiting Lance Franklin, a 193cm key forward.

The players linked to a possible deal are Hawks full-back Jonathan Hay and small forward Mark Williams, both West Australians.

So they look pretty serious.

The Eagles would want to be very confident of keeping Judd at the end of next year to reject that.

They could really have a Nick Stevens scenario....especially if Judd really doesn't care which Vic based club he goes to..

There is no guarantee that a priority pick or very high draft pick will be available next year for him.....

Hawks should have taken Judd at No.1 when they had their chance. Hodge doesn't even come close to matching up.

hodge has had the worse run of injuries of 'the three'...

hawthorn would further reduce their size down back if they were to do that, unless they want to rely on jacobs to be full-back and croad to be centre-half back permanently

i think judd has expressed that desire to stay from memory... hes happy there

hes in a team destined for success soon due to solid rebuilding... furthermore getting the captaincy the other day against essendon would show him how valued he is at the club... he would be stupid to leave and he has done nothing to suggest he is stupid
