    Schwatta's calls

    This year Schwatta has gone from cameo dude, to ful-time caller.

    I love his calls already. I thought he'd take ages to call the game with fluency, but his rolling play commentary is really professional and near polished.

    I still think Jason Bennett is going to be the best caller going around.

    Also, can someone tell me where Clinton Grybas and Tiffany Cherry have gotten to? Did I miss something? Were they sacked for having relations, ala Stan Grant and Tracy?

          Tiffany Cherry is still doing the nightly news updates on WLF. Not sure what the story is with boundary riding though.

          Clinton Grybas is in Athens for the Olympics and will be back next week or the week after.

          I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

          If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

              Schwatta has made the transition seamlessly. He's already better than several others going around and will probably become the best ex-player to make the switch to play by play calling since KB.

              Tiffany Cherry was on the boundary in a recent game I saw so I'm sure she's still around. I'd actually like to see her call a game. She knows her footy well enough and it'd be great for women in sports broadcasting. She's every male's fantasy really - and attractive blonde with a brain who knows her footy.

              Jason Bennett still has work to do for mine. He's got too many of Bruce McAvaney's expressions in his repertoire and needs to drop his obsession with telling us "how many touches" everyone has had when they get the ball. There's also no need for "at ground level", which he horribly overuses.

                              can i just add "tight/ tough in the clinches" which should be banned from any callers' repetoire immediately.
