Can't really argue too much about those selections except for two players:

Joel Bowden - I think even the most one-eyed Tigers fans would not have chosen Bowden for AA selection. He's done well playing on much bigger forwards and has racked up some impressive statistics in terms of possessions. But as some Jude Bolton critics will tell you, possessions sometimes don't count for a lot.

Brad Johnson - Another one who was pretty solid with the numbers but I think there were better HFFs around this year.

How could you not choose Lloyd or Gehrig at FF?

I'd put Barry to HBF and put Chris Johnson in the BP.

      No Voss?

I don't think full forward should automatically be based on the leading goal kicker. I think Hall's output this year has been better than either Gehrigs or Lloyds.

Agree with Barry moving to a HBF and Johnson to a pocket. Bowden would come out.

Definately no room for Voss. He hasn't had a great year, obviously due to injuries. I think there would be a number of midfielders in line before him: West, Ling, Fletcher, Bell, Haselby, Kane Cornes etc

I could be wrong but I think the leading goalkicker has always been named in the team except once.
I would find a place for Ling.Dare I say it but I think Ling has been better than Kirk this year as a defensive midfielder/posession getter.

McPhee, damn I knew I forgot someone.

Not sure why the rap over Lloyd. He is a gun player for sure, but the All Australian team is about form this year and I don't think Lloyd has had a particularly great year.

I think they changed the rules a while ago to guarantee the AA FF spot to the Coleman medallist.

Lloyd is a great player but he hasn't been at his best this year, notwithstanding another very healthy haul of goals and I reckon it would be hard to fit a 5th tall forward into the team, unless on the bench. If I'm right (above) Gehrig is a definite and Tredrea will be the CHF. Hall and Riewoldt have surely done enough to both get spots as well.

I'll be pissed off if Leo gets overlooked again. Unlike many of those HBFs who get all the plaudits for their rebounding efforts, Leo can actually defend as well.
