    AFL making strides in QLD

Pretty impressive ratings for the Lions against a Brisbane V Nth Qld League semi.

Nine's entire coverage between 7.30pm - 10.00pm averaged 384,900 viewers, compared with Ten's 311,100 over the same time.

The peak times of the game were more in favour of league 428,000 to 278,000 - but it represents a massive push for AFL in QLD. 150,000 people isn't much difference when you consider what the Lions were up against.

    Hopefully one day for Sydney!

Really. Perhaps it is a local dialect thing. Have you not heard trousers reffered to as 'strides'. Thus, the title of the post looks as though you are saying that the AFL has trouser factories in Qld. I should edit the post above though. I have no idea where King Gee make their trousers, or of their labour arrangements. What I have said is probably defamatory. Await an equally witty addendum...

that is absolutely HUGE considering they were up against an all-Qld rugby league game.

any idea of the Fri night ratings in Qld, or for that matter the Syd AFL ratings (he asks nervously)?

Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.
