Herald Sun has published a 2004 report card for Sydney Swans:

It's a very ineteresting reading. Have a look for yourself.

Very good read.Seemed to mention the positives of our list, a fair bit.

I would argue that we have the finishing midfielders though. Not just Williams in Schneider,Davis,McVeigh,Ablett.Malkeski seemed to have the skills too.

    Doubt Dempster will be delisted.

        BIG LOW

Paul Roos' game style came under attack after a dour win against Adelaide in Round 15.
I would say these were lower - after all we did beat the Crows:

        Richmond loss in round 7.

The passing of Wally and the Kangaroos loss in round 19.
"Unbelievable!" -- Nick Davis leaves his mark on the 2005 semi final

A fair and positive review on the Swan's 2004 season.

Lets hope that next year they are reviewing "Sydney Swans 2005 Premiers!"

It's what I've come to expect from afl.com.au - ill-informed and lacking insight. This paragraph, in particular, doesn't describe the team I watched all year.

"The Swans have a pretty solid list, with their midfield the strongest component. While Barry Hall has been excellent and Michael O'Loughlin a more than adequate second target, a third attacking option, like St Kilda has would be handy. "

Given that they've already mentioned O'Keefe's contribution and noted the prolonged absences of Davis and Schneider, even this report card doesn't support this conclusion.
