He has family in QLD? Or his wife wants to move there!!? (I know that was the case initially after he retired).

Both his wife's and his family are all Tasmanians!

Maybe they want to get further away from Tassie.

        Wife's family, I think.

They were certainly intending to move to Queensland last year. I was quite surprised when he took the job at the Cats.

Wife's family is from Huonville, Tasmania (Read hicksville ), but could have moved there over time perhaps.

I guess there were no jobs available post his retirement and now that Gary O'Donnell has gone to Essendon, Cressa has jumped at the first opportunity.

I wonder how many years Lethal has left? could be a massive opening for him in the next couple of years.

Wouldn't that make a phenomenal Grand Final... Sydney vs Brisbane, Roos vs Cresswell. If only we could snare a couple of their gun players before then to even up the ledge a bit

After the weekend of the Cats/Freo game, his wife probably gave him an ultimatum. "Get me outta this freezing backward hell hole!!!!"

I think it is absolutely fantastic for him. And from what I have heard, it was Leigh who wanted Cressa, not him walking out on the cats, par se. Once Lethal knew that GO'D was returning to the bummers he went after Cressa.
I had actually thought Cressa would head north anyway at the end of 2003 season, to join up with Lynchie and and another former swan, for a spot of golf... Maybe Lynchie playing on for the extra year gave Cressa the opportunity to have that year at sleepy hollow and show what he could do...
Yep, a roosie vs cressa GF would be great. But do we have to wait till 2007 for it, given what has been happening in the 1901/2001 weirdness!
1901 bummers won/2001 bummers lost; 1902 phylth won/2002 phylth lost; 1903 phylth won, lions lost/2003 lions won and phylth lost; 1904 lions won/ 2004 lions lost....
If this carries on...Lions will lose next year, win again in 2006...Now roll on 2007....
Like Big Kev, I'm excited!!!! Only another 3 seasons to wait....now, I just hope the old ticker can last that long....
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

Billy Brainless on SEN Radio in Melbourne this morning stated that Cressa is heading to Brisbane because his wife's Mother and Sister are based in Brisbane and she wants to be desperately close to them.

And she also hated Geeeeelong with a passion.....

Although, the Cressa's could have came down to Melbourne and lived in Essendon/Strathmore (as Bomber Thompson lives in Essendon), whereby I would have bailed him up in the street to sign my two TOTC jumpers - as Cresswell is the only living Swans TOTC player that I haven't a signature of.....
