Completely ridiculous that players can continually miss out on deals because officials are a minute or two late.
It shouldn't be that hard to have an AFL official in every room where trading occurs, to receive the papers. It would have saved Mark Alvey, Heath Black and now Ty Zantuck from spending another year at a club that they were planning on leaving.We hate Anthony Rocca

1. the cubs had 5 days to do it. Why wait til the last coupla minutes?
2. Do trades HAVE to be done @ Optus Oval? What's to stop them meeting over lunch @ a restaurant?
3. Who's bright idea was it to do the deal in the furthest room from the AFL?
