If you live in Sydney it may be a challenge since the games are not currently listed in next Sunday's TV schedule.

But find a friend who can pick up Wollongong and you should be fine. Game seems to be scheduled for 11pm on WIN, the same time as its on in Melbourne.

One time to be grateful for all the Bondi high-rises that mean we can't pick up the local signal and have to tune into the Wollongong receiver!

What's even more retarded is that it's on at 11:00pm in Perth too, when it could be on at 9:00pm. It's undisputed AFL territory, people actually want to watch the game, why don't they show it at a sensible hour?

great news! i decided i would write an email to the afl. i thought it would be hopeless, but i did it anyway. either way ehre is what i sent:

hi
just a quick email in regards to the international rules series. i am an
avid afl situated in sydney, and i have just recenty checked on the
ninemsn network the broadcast of the international rules series game one
for 2004. it is being broadcast in melbourne of course, but it seems
that instead in sydney, channel nine are electing to go with a program
entitled "sex mania". i am not the only sorely dissapointed fan about
this, my whole family and a few neighbours, plus the online community
are basically fuming. i am not sure if you have it in your power to make
suggestions to channel nine or anything but if there was some way to
influence a reverse in the decision to play a program about strippers or
something instead of an international football match involving AUSTRALIA
it would be greatly apreciated. thank you for your time.

to my surprise i got a reply within 3 hours, which informed me of some good news.:


Hi Mark,

According to our most recent notification (yesterday) Nine will telecast
the match into Sydney and Brisbane at 1:20am on the Monday morning
following each match (Mon 18 and Mon 25 October). The TV guides no
doubt have not been updated or were printed a few weeks ago.
