Re: Three International Rules Games???
Sounds good to me. We might even get a game in Sydney in a three game series. StadeOz on a Wednesday night! Sounds familiar somehow, what does that remind me of?Originally posted by eirinn

They won't play mid-week, because of recovery & the player contract's 5-6 day break clause.
HOWEVER maybe the 3rd game is only played if its necessary, so if it is 2-0 the 3rd isn't played. Therefore it wouldn't matter every year. I think it is a great idea!COMPARE YOUR BROADBAND PLAN AND SAVE - - $15 Connection CashBack OR Free Delivery

A three game series has always been rejected previously because it would extend the tour by a week. The Irish are specifically proposing a midweek game to get avoid this aspect but obviously the reduced break period would need to be accepted by the players. Perhaps take extra players so that no single player plays more than two games (or perhaps no more than X minutes of actual total game time).Originally posted by peterh_oz

Great idea in theory, after all the third state of origin game is always pretty tedious if it's 2-0 .. but what about people who buy tickets for the third game in advance?Originally posted by peterh_oz
