    The St. Kilda Of '05

    st kilda had a terrific year this year, missing out on the grand final only by a goal, winning 10 in a row to start the home and away season, and so on and so forth.

    They of course jumped form close to the bottom of the ladder out of nowhere, similar story geelong really.

    So who might make a jump like that in '05? any opinions?

    i would think someone like fremantle, a good side that often doesnt finish well.

      It would have to be the Hawks, Dogs or Richmond I would think to be the team that surprises everyone.

      Most likely Richmond actually.

      I would have my eye on the Dogs though. They have a couple of very exciting young guys who will have no choice but to be elite players this year, or they are OUT!

      One guy in particular who is yet to raise an eyebrow except with me is a kid called Brad Murphy. Played 3 games, kicked 4 goals and a total of 11 marks from the wing and the bench.

      What caught my eye was his natural talent and flair. Looking forward to watching him in 2005.

          Doubt there will be a "St. Kilda" as such however I expect the Bulldogs to be the big improver of 2005.

          I think they have a decent side and I think Rocket 2nd time around could have a "lethal" effect.....

              could be freo. they did the best trading IMO for instant impact next year but their form away from home is still questionable.

              W bulldogs should have some of those early draft picks start to have an impact.

              I believe hawthorn will still be a rabble next year, and richmond have been for as long as i can remember so it's hard for me to imagine them making a big leap next year.

              I think west coast could finish top 4.

                  Yeah if their midfield and ruck stays up, sky is the limit for that team.

                      I would like to see Hawthorn and Bulldogs take a stride but I hate every bit of Richmond.

                          I think Carlton will be the major improvers next season followed by Hawthorn.
                          Well done Craig Bolton for getting the co- captaincy in 2008.
