    Alternative songs

    OK, another silly boredom breaker for the off season; I've been thinking about the team songs, and would like to hear your alternatives.

    The rules are: pick a well-known tune to base it on; decide on a team name; and let your creative skills run rampant!

    Here's my example (team: the Loofahs; sung to the tune of Advance Australia Fair)

    The Loofahs are the greatest team
    For they run fast and free
    With swift handballs and sliding marks
    They've skills for all to see

    They kick the ball and seek the crumbs
    And like a good set shot
    And when they do, it means a goal
    Or sometimes a behind

    The only thing they hate to see
    Is balls out on the full

    Kick it! Kiiiiick iiiiiiiiit!

      Vicky Pollard: Oh my god I so can't believe you just said that this is like the time I threw Anita's nokia in the canal as a joke and she's like you have well got to buy me another one and I'm like get over it and then Paul came over who's adopted anyway and started saying that I fancy Mark Bennett but oh my god just because I have sex with someone doesn't mean I fancy them.

          Great idea.This has been raised on the forum before and we really must develop it.

          How about a line from Mellow Yellow , once Paul Kelly's number is reallocated ?

          "We're just mad about Fourteen
          Fourteen's just mad about us
          They call him Paul-y Bevan
          (Quite right-ly)".

          Disappointed my "la - la hey Jude" chant hasn't really taken hold yet ('cept a few Bay Seven-ers) , but I'll keep working on it.

              Thats a bit funny, number 14 wont be used. Bevo is keeping # 42
