    Pies regain their hunger

    Pies regain their hunger

"The 23-year-old said there is a steely resolve around the Lexus Centre as the Pies seek to atone for their poor 2004 campaign, which came on the back of consecutive Grand Final appearances.

"It seems that we have that hunger back, the same as in 2002 and 2003, so there's a really good feeling around the joint," Johnson told Sportal on Wednesday. "

I hope they have the same success they had in their back to back years '02 - '03!!!!

although it is rather nice to see the pies go through GF loss, its still far too close for my liking. i would rather them have a season like last year again.

i can remember my grandpa say after they won in 1990 "the front of the paper is about collingwood, the back of the paper is about collingwood, the middle of the paper is about collingwood and they even print the bloody thing in black and white!!!!"

    cheers

I hate the pies with a passion but they are a grate club. 1990 is not so long ago as 1933.

"grate" club indeed. they grate on my friggin nerves.

but agreed, one team you really love to beat.

BTW 1990 newspapers in melbourne didnt have too many colour pages........they were still printing the Feral Hun in Flinders St then....

              True.

Was a bad time to read newspapers thats for sure.

For weeks and weeks after they won everything in Melbourne had some connection to bloody Collingwood. We were even subjected to a game by game description of the Collingwood Copeland Medal count in The Hun.

Never want to see them win another premiership in my lifetime!!!! Would rather Adelaide win 10 flags in succession.

Let the pies regain their hunger,

                Hunger to lose another flag.

                What am i thinking???

So we can have Eddie McGuire run around and think he run the league and blame interstate clubs for Melbourne's clubs woes.???

So we can have Nathan Buckley, the face of the game and treated like some sort of messiah down in Melbourne and be in everything????

                Nah,
                @@@@ 'em.

                Give them the spoon.

                They DESERVE IT!!!!!
Well done Craig Bolton for getting the co- captaincy in 2008.

Your determination, your tenacity and your under-rated skill is why you have become my favourite player!

September in Melbourne is sunny weather, flowers in bloom, and Collingwood losing a Grand Final.
