Revised RWO Forum Guidelines - Please Read
1) Excessive swearing and/or mature content - This is essentially a site that is accessible by Swans supporters of all ages. We will let some minor cases through, but you have to draw the line somewhere.
2) flaming/abusive threads - If you have to have a go at someone personally, take it off the board. Everyone else doesn't need to see your hissy fits. Remember, "Play the ball, not the man". If you don't like a post, please don't flame back - it makes our job of moderation much harder. Just report the post to a moderator and let us handle it.
3) Trolling ? Deliberately posting on threads in an attempt to stir/bait other users will not be tolerated.
4) off-topic posts - Some people prefer to just read swans or footy related posts. This is, after all, a SFC website. Please ensure you post threads in the appropriate forum, or they will be moved. While threads will sometimes move away from the original topic, please do not deliberately drag a thread away from its original subject.
5) Legal issues - This is the tricky one. Basically we'll be inclined to keep a very close eye on threads discussing rumours or anything that could be potentially libellous. We're not interested whether there is only a 0.00001% chance of legal action - if there is ANY threat to RWO potentially, we will come down hard on it.
6) Due to potential issues of copyright infringement and the potential legal implications (see point 5 above), posting of complete articles is not permitted. Please post a link to the article. Where appropriate, you may quote sections of the article to aid in discussion.
7) Signatures/avatars - Please keep your signatures under 4 lines of standard sized fonts (if you must use large fonts, please use just one line), as a courtesy to all users who read the forums. Please do not use signatures/avatars as an opportunity to make subtle jibes at other forum members. If in doubt as to whether something is acceptable, don?t use it! You may not refer to another forum member, or quote anything they have said, without permission from that member.
8) Attachments ? Attachments within the size limit prescribed are permitted. However, due to costs associated with uploads/downloads, if you wish to attach a number of files within a thread, or feel that the quality of the attachment is compromised by the file size restrictions, you may wish to use external hosting providers and link to the files there.
9) Spamming - Advertising for personal commercial purposes is not permitted. Placing links to sites that other users may find of interest/personal websites is acceptable within reason (ie constantly posting links will be frowned upon).
10) The moderators reserve the right to delete or move threads/posts as well as remove signatures/avatars as necessary according to the rules of this forum.
11) You (as good as) asked for it, you got it. Any decisions made around the intepretation of the rules above are entirely at the discretion of the site admins, and are final.
Bottom line - You're a guest on RWO, and you are expected to play by the rules of the house.
