I think it shows that teams CAN come up with a reasonable alternate strip WITHOUT having to change their colours - Magpies, Bombers, are you listening?
The Lions one - well i'll have to see it close up, but it's a start.
The Swans alternate strip should be their heritage jumper for the last two years (ie predominantly white with some red), as they only really clash with teams that have red in their jumpers.Comment

i dunno about that could do something more snazzy as an alternate strip, kinda like the powers alternate one...(in the sense that its not conventional same old shapes)Theres not much left to sayComment

It's not a bad design on the whole, but I don't like the "wraparound" lion. IMO footy jumpers should have roughly the same mix of colours no matter which side you view it from.
From a Brisbane player's point of view, depending on which way your temmates are facing, you could be aiming at either a "mostly blue & gold" jumper, or a "maroon & blue" jumper.
177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....
