Collingwood Disgrace

Did anyone else see "Today Tonight" last Friday. Specifically the story on Collingwood and the state that Victoria Park was in when they handed the keys back to the local council. I was totally disgusted by the filth and damage that had been done. Then, to add to my disgust the Mayor of Yarra(local area), who was being interviewed near one of the stands which she said had been condemned due to its deplorable state, said that they had asked the Collingwood club to foot less than half the $10m bill for repairs and that he had come back witth an offer of just $100,000.

I hated Collingwood before, now I have no respect at all for them after what I saw on Friday.

Shame, Eddie, Shame!

So what happens to their tradition now? As I recall the ground was renamed the Jock McHale Stadium and it also contains a Bob Rose Stand. Can't take that with you when you move to Olympic Park....??

we think we have it bad. Things could be far far worse. You could support the haplessPies. Or even worse....be Mick Malthouse.

Watch the black and white menagerie to start dropping off. As they did towards the end of last season. The myth about "Collingwood passion" is just that, a myth. I was at the Telstra Dome in 2003 and people wearing black and white were not even clapping Pies goals.

Collingwood in disarray is good for Football. and makes staying up to watch the McChin show every Thursday worthwhile.

The relationship between 7 and 9 is somewhat strained so it's hardly surprising that he refused to comment through her. However incase you really are interested - Greg Swann the CEO responded via other media outlets.
