IMHO they should bring in an extra 2 boundary umps AND wire them up to the field umps a-la leaue and union and give the boundary umps the ability to assist the field umps if they see something untoward.
I'm on the Chandwagon!!!
If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Personally don't feel there is a need for a extra ump, already there is the problem of players running into Umps, and another Ump to that and you add to the problem, especially on the smaller grounds such as the SCGPremiers 09,18,33,05

2's company, 3's a crowd, which in that case, 4 is a big no-no. Just more trouble for us.Vicky Pollard: Oh my god I so can't believe you just said that this is like the time I threw Anita's nokia in the canal as a joke and she's like you have well got to buy me another one and I'm like get over it and then Paul came over who's adopted anyway and started saying that I fancy Mark Bennett but oh my god just because I have sex with someone doesn't mean I fancy them.Comment

There should be 53 umpires per game.
One for each player on the field.
One for each post on the field.
One for the sideline between the goal and 50 metre line.
One for the sideline between the 50 metre lines.
(Twice the above amount for both sides of the field)
One to watch the interchanges for each team.
One to watch the runners.
Feasible?Comment

why not save money, and get players who are on the bench to umpire, then we could use the umps salary to help poorer clubs!Theres not much left to sayComment
