    Define KPP

My understanding of KPP (Key Position Player) is:

    Full forward
    Centre half forward
    Centre half back
    Full back

Is this the universal understanding of KPP?

Would refine the HB/HF to be CHB/CHF.

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Ah, see, I would refer to CHB/CHF as HB/HF and the non-C positions as HBF/HFF but I changed to to be more explicit.

I generally refer to the entire line as HF/HB (ie including both CHB/CHF and HBF/HFF) and then if I'm talking about individual positions then I will specify CHB/CHF/HBF/HFF

HB/HF would describe the positional line. Adding the "C" makes it a specific postition.

It would be like playing netball, and the playe in the middle has no letter on their bib!!!

FF, CHF, CHB and FB are the four universally regarded key positions. Ruck is usually thrown in as well.

OK, I never thought anyone was talking about the ruck when they said KPP.

Well they are Players, the ruck is a Position and they are a Key to the game.

Silly, yes, and probably wrong too. I've always consider rucks to be followers - that is, they don't have a fixed position (like a KPP) but follow the ball around.

Of course, there have been some rucks who havent managed to follow the ball around but arguably they werent key either.

and besides ive seen you make more pointless posts!! i.e this one, posting articles off the swans website like no one knows where that is

besides i added that anyone tall is a kpp pretty much as who plays set positions, half the time forward lines consists of three full forwards all running to different parts and requiring a tall key backman on them!!

Depends on whether you view key positions as being defined by fixed positions (in which case even CHF and CHB are of dubious definition, and you could argue that there is no longer such a thing as key position players) or positions which are of key importance in a team's structure.

I didn't say it was pointless, I said it repeated what was in the previous post.
