We Can All Watch Melbourne TV

There was a link posted on a Big Footy thread that may interest those outside Victoria. This link takes you to a webpage where a live feed of Channel 9 Melbourne is being webcast. There is also a link at the top of that page for C7 (apparently C10 will be available soon).

The TV feed takes a few seconds to load and the quality is reasonable (on a broadband connection). It's worth a try for those who want to see the Melbourne Footy Show, FNF etc at reasonable times.

Hmmmm, not bad. Just watched about ten minutes of the Footy Show. Don't know if I could watch the whole two hours (plus) on the computer monitor but I've saved it to Favourites. Does it do the Friday night game? I suppose I'll try tomorrow night.

I've just watched the last 45 mins of the Footy Show. You can also minimise the screen and be doing other things and just hear sound. If you hear something interesting click it back and watch. Saves me taping the show tonight. I've seen what I wanted. Thanks a lot for the link.

I'm watching Kangaroos v Collingwood - great to have Friday night footy only on an hour's delay. Sensational game too.

This is an excellent site, I'm watching the last quarter of the Saints v Dees match instead of watching it past midnight. Very smooth too

Yeah! Noticed that on Thursday nite. Some teething problems presumably.

Th picture wasn't stable for me anyway - kept turning green and upside down. Maybe that was why they pulled it.

Hopefully it will return but I wonder how they have covered the legal side.

Been checking for over a week now and no still no webcast. It was just too good to be true. I sent them an email last week to ask why they weren't webcasting and they haven't replied. There may be some legal issues involved and it would be nice to know if that was the reason. If they are legal reasons you'd wonder how they could ever be resolved. I'm sure the TV stations have their copyright and they like to dictate to their viewers what they (the stations) want their viewers to watch. How dare a Ch 9 viewer in Sydney watch a Melbourne Ch 9 broadcast: it goes against the demographics. Of course I could be wrong......
