I assume you mean Malcolm and not Grant Thomas ;-)
If Roos, does step aside as Sydney coach would love to see someone the calibre of Blight given the reigns, however Roos seems to be turning around the Swans fortune this season and a bit of confidence from back to back wins may just be what the Swans need

Why would he? (although dropping Schauble this weekend has pissed me off)

I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.

Can't fugure out the dropping of Schauble expect for injury reasons
As for why he would step aside, may not be his decision but one made by the club, but for the media something along the lines of "I have decided to step aside"
However in total honesty can't see the club given him the push this season at least

Likewise. I am usually in the top 3 at work and won it last year but this year I am almost out of contention already. I have a theory that the people doing well in footy tipping this year dont know much about football.

Shirley you jest! Blight was a disinterested hack at St Kilda. He took the job because they kept throwing money at him.
He knows as does most other people that the influence of the coach is negligible unless you have the cattle.
1st of all it is the hardest thing in the world to prove intent.
2and Blight did things at Adelaide which may have indicated disinterest (but he managed to win back to back flags there)
3rd he did have the cattle at saint kilda
4th anyone who thinks AFL flags are not won through good coaching has never played competition sport.

The leader of the comp I am in picks them on her favourite colours... like this week she's tipping the Saints because she prefers red, white and black as opposed to just red and white. Black ties it in better with her accessories. I know!!! I almost choked on my lunch when I heard that!
And you can't find nothing at all,
If there was nothing there all along.

I didn't say he wasn't a good coach I said he was disinterested and he was!
It was disinterest at St Kilda not Adelaide.
I still fail to see the logic in replacing Roos with Blight . Just because you have had some success as a coach doesn't mean it goes on for ever and ever. Coaches like players get old and hackneyed - they lose their aura. Is Blight any better a coach than say Neil Craig currently at Adelaide? There is no answer - it is highly subjective . Some of the best and most highly respected coaches have not won premierships
Roos has got the Swans to a Prelim Final 2003 and Finals win over the Eagles 2004. Whats the problem?
And yes by the way I have played competition sport - tiddlywinks, croquet, spoon and egg race, quoits AND, yes, while the coach was important in getting me to the shoot-out in the last few minutes of the tiddlywinks final, it was just me and the voice in my head and my own personal resolve and steely character that made me prevail in those final moments when it was just me and my arch nemesis facing off. At that point the coach was helpless and the last person on my mind. So yes having tasted the thrill of competition tiddlywinks I still feel competent enough to comment on such lofty topics as AFL coaches.
