Not a huge surprise there - he is definitely a top quality inside midfielder, but unfortunately for him, is way too injury prone.

I would expect him to retire following this announcement.

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

The word is there is still some interest in him from other clubs. How old is he?

For us yes, could imagine Pagan or Malthouse might have interest.

I think that you are probably right - Malthouse especially. Might be worthwhile to help their kids but I doubt if he could offer enough to move them up the table.

I wouldn't trade for him, but I'd consider drafting him with a late-ish pick.

He's a very talented player with two years in him if he gets over his injuries. He'd certainly add extra depth.

If Port have effectively delisted him, I doubt that a trade is required. However, I don't see him as part of the Swans' plans.

                  Thats the point.

If he had any decent footy Port wouldnt have delisted him 3 weeks out from the end of the year and they would have kept hold of him and tried to get something for him.

                  He is completely gone.

Port must have assessed that even with a rested pre-season his body wouldn't get to AFL level in 2006. Bit like Micky O, but a lot worse.
