    Footy's big heads clash

    Footy's big heads clash
I think Eddie is scared of losing some of his limelight as the
    "highest profile" president.

Ed "It's all about me" McGuire!!

Mr Kennett will be pitted against McGuire, who helped steer Collingwood to a premiership and restored its finances.

When did Eddie steer Collingwood to a Premiership??

He steered them to a premiership like a drunk guy steers a car.

What a load of self-important arrogant crap from Kennett. Nothing's changed.

Trust me guys - this is just the start. You think Eddie is bad? Well... now we'll have the prototype 'tall poppy'.

      We hate Anthony Rocca
      We hate Shannon Grant too
      We hate scumbag Gaspar
      But Leo WE LOVE YOU!

He plans on offering the coaches retirement packages and cutting player salaries but to balance that, the melbourne cup will now become pre-game entertainment for the Hawks.

It is the first time I have ever agreed on any thing Kennet has to say. His comments are spot on. Eddie uses the show as a vehicle to promote Collingwood and any other clubs that condescend to appear on his show are reinforcing his agenda. I now refuse to watch the show as do the rest of the people on the staff I work with and we are a really footy conscious staff.

            That's showing him.

So Sam and Billy don't bring a Geelong factor to it, nor does Dermie when he appears with Crawf add the Hawks dimension to the show. I can guess holding the show in Perth a couple weeks ago for the derby between WC and Dockers was show casing Collingwood too.

Ed is good for footy. He gets people talking about it. Love to hate him, but he's done a damn sight more for the game in all states that bloody big head Kennett.

Is it because he's been so successful that everyone hates him. If we had Eddie here maybe our profile in Sydney would be better than what it currently is.

or is this whole thing a clever ploy from a foxy old polly who wants people talking about his club when there really isn't else that interesting to say about them?

I like Ed (although TFS is tedious except in small doses).

Kennett's not silly (he used to be, but had a remarkable change) - he's just creating some interest for the Hawks.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

The remarkable change is called being booted out of office. A noxious tall poppy amongst the mayblooms. A club with no future in the eastern burbs of bleak city - limited supporter base, a major car sponsor about to leave Australia. They call themselves the "family club" - should go over well in Tassie

I'm talking about his first stint in opposition before becoming premier. You may not like him, but he's not silly.
