This is NOT General AFL Chat, as my intention was to congratulate the two Swans players who made the team!!

Croad's a bit of a surprise, considering by the end of the year he was playing up forward as well. I guess that probably highlights the fact that there is a dearth of consistent key position backmen in the competition. Also surprised Joel Bowden got in ahead of Lindsay Gilbee.

Well done to Barry and Barry and Kirky is very, very unlucky to miss out.

Okay dumb question you can't make the team if you're suspended correct? Hence why there's no Chris Judd I'm assuming. If that's the case then how did Roo make it in?

Suspensions have no bearing on the team.

don't know why leo's in there. he's had an ok season, played on a couple of of gun forwards.

it's just his free kick and goal against that irrits me. Does't he give the most goals away in the league from frees?

don't know why croad is in there, 3 hawks is too many for the year they had.

also first team to be without lions for a while.
            Onwards to Victory!

Chris Judd hasnt been that good as he was last year so thats probably why he didnt get AA selection, but theres no doubt hes a awesome player, its just he hasnt stood out much this season.
Forget about Hall, it's all about Bradshaw

Definately agree with Gilbee in and Croad out. His selection was the biggest shock for mine. Obviously Gilbee cannot take his centre half back position but probably could have put Clement as CHB and Gilbee into the back pocket.

5 of the 6 defenders are first-timers. Really shows how few good, fulltime defenders there are in the competition these days.

Or how little the good ones get the recognition they deserve, like Craig Bolton

A few questionable selections IMHO. Not too sure about Croad at CHB, Grant on a HFF, Everitt in a FP.

I think if they had Harvey on the HFF for Grant (who would have missed out altogether), Everitt on the bench, and Robertson in a FP that would have looked better to me.

I probably would have had McGuire ahead of Croad, but him missing a few games through injury obviously counted against him - although it didn't seem to matter for Wirrpunda.

                              I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.
