    The MCG rule

If, and big If I know, we make it into the finals in 5th or 6th, with the top 4 all being interstate teams......

would the MCG rule actually work in our favour.

First final, probably against a vic team, in Sydney (as we are ranked higher). 5th-v8th or 6th v 7th.

Second final, probably against a non-vic team, moved to MCG because Sydney have the biggest melbourne following. (Neutral ground !)

...and so on through the finals.

There's nothing like the smell of optimism on a May afternoon.

Bloods vs Port at the 'G would be a home game for us, for sure.

This bit is incorrect. The highest ranked team will get the home game regardless.

But it could work out the way you say - woudn't get us home finals (as it would a Vic team) but it might get us neutral grounds.

But I prefer the plan that we finish first and get home finals all the way.
