    Gruelling Training at Coffs Harbour

The Daily Telegraph (6 Feb) reports that the Swans undertook three gruelling training sessions including an intra club practice game at the training camp at Coffs Harbour.

On Tuesday before their first training session on the Coffs Habour Showground Oval, Coach Paul Roos spent 2? hours spelling out the Swans game plan rules and objectives for the season.

"It's not brain surgery", he said. "But it's important that we establish what everyone's roles are this season."

At this stage of the year, Roos wasn't worried that at times the intra-club game was "pretty ugly".

"I just wanted the players to get used to tackling, shepherding, chasing and getting bumped again," he said. "It's always a different type of fitness when it comes to games compared to training."

To help empower the players, which is a big part of Roos' strategy for success this season, he is using the camp to also work on team building and leadership.
