    Swans Off To Newcastle

    Sydney Swans are off to Newcastle on Tuesday Feb 3 for the official AFL camp. All 16 AFL clubs are travelling to different regional areas to give local communities an opportunity to get close to AFL.

    Newcastle is 160km north of Sydney, with a population of around 140,000. According to the AFL, Newcastle has 1,923 Auskick participants and 2,559 registered footy players.

    The Swans will conduct open training sessions and players and coaches will be out in the community visiting schools and hospitals. The Swans? training sessions are open to the public.

    The schedule for Newcastle is -

    Swans' Training at No.1 Oval, Union Street, Newcastle
    Tuesday, February 3 4pm - 6pm
    Wednesday, February 4 9am - 11am
    Friday, February 6 10am - 11:30am

    Auskick Superclinic
    Tuesday, February 3 4pm-6pm (including a Community BBQ)at No.1 Oval, Union Street, Newcastle
    Thursday, February 5 4pm-5pm at Adelaide Street Oval, Tumbi Umbi

    Talent Squad training
    Thursday, February 5 4pm-6pm at No.1 Oval, Union Street, Newcastle.

    Community Footy Forum
    Tuesday, February 3, starting at 7pm, at No.1 Oval, Union Street, Newcastle. Hosted by Paul Roos, Andrew Ireland and AFL umpire Stuart Wenn. Entry is free. Register for the forum of your choice by calling 0425 202 044.

    Swans Dinner
    Thursday 5 February at 7pm at the Panthers Newcastle, King Street, Newcastle West. All the Swans players and coaching staff will be in attendance. Book on 4926 2700. All proceeds to junior football in the Hunter region.
