OK ... Maybe not as easy as I thought ...

The Bloods officially became the Swans in 1953 - much to the ire of old timers, who point out that the club's achievements under the revised moniker have been negligible
      Who's next ?

            Princes Park.

MCG was occupied by the army, and I think going by the name 'Camp Murphy'?

My question: who were the three emergencies for the 1996 GF, and which one of them played a finals match that year?

AHA - I know this one!

Simon Arnott, Justin Crawford and Anthony Rocca

Crawford was the only one to play in the '96 finals series

But I have to go out now, and wont be back till about 8 or 9, so someone else can have a go at asking the next question

In lieu of Ert asking a question:

South Melbourne played in the first ever 'Grand Final' in Victorian football. What year was it, and who did we play?

Interesting question. I googled up the following when seeking an answer.
                    --
In 1896, the top two teams in the VFL, Collingwood and South Melbourne, could not be separated on the basis of wins achieved, and so it was decided that the destiny of the premiership would be determined on the basis of a single, 'winner takes all', play off match._ Collingwood duly defeated South Melbourne to take out the 1896 flag, but of much greater long term significance was the enormous interest, and substantial revenue, that the match generated.

                      Trivia kwestion

Name the two Swans players who were recruited from Mitcham. One played in the 1933 premiership side, one is a current Swan.
It's very hard to live in a studio apartment in San Jose with a man who's learning to play violin. That's what she told the police when she handed them the empty revolver.

Suppose I should ask another one.

Who was the "follower" in the "Bloodbath" Grand Final of 1945 ?
