i think skilton got everything he could have wanted from today.
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

Biggest negative is Pick 19(?) in the draft. How can we follow Footyhead's plan if we continue to accept that making the finals each year is enough?

MOL clearly aggravated his knee in the first quarter and spent some time on the bench for treatment. Three of his shots for goal were 45-50m which is too far on a re-aggravated knee injury. From there he had three choices - go for broke with unreliable accuracy and hope one goes through (his choice), find a target closer to goal but this was impossible with the Eagles flooding back (oops, getting numbers behind the ball, they don't flood), or lob it to the hotspot 15m in front of goal (maybe a better option but who knows as Cox was thereabouts each time).

We were speculating on the flight home MOL might retire due to his on-going knee problems.

Should have let the team know to have someone run past and receive a handball from him.

yep. definitely should have tanked this year to get those picks that might bring us a premiership.

My pick for best Swan was Fosdike. Was superb at clearing the ball from stoppages. Thought he was a bit unlucky, but I thought Judd was outstanding.

However, his first kick, just 3 min into the game, was the same jabbing kicking motion and he sent it out on the full. I think he just had the kicking yips, which he gets sometimes. You can see it as his kick is sort of like a scissor kick rather than a fluid motion with follow-through.

One negative for me was it was the 4th lowest winning score since 1915 (second lowest since 1933). I like to see goals!

The other negative is I can still barely speak today!!

For a 55 year old bloke who has been going to the footy since I was 8, there is no negatives when you win a flag.

I now have a new perspective to my life. I can now enjoy my footy even more. Roll on to the trade week, draft week and bring on season 2006.

I am going to revel in the glory, always where my Swans cap, but come round 1 2006, it is business as usual.

Cant wait for 2006. I am excited already.

Just one negative I thought was the fact that there was no acknowledgement given to moore, malseski, schauble, vogels, mcveigh, etc who worked hard all year and have trained all last week even though there season was over they helped carry the boys through. May be im being picky but it took more than 22 players to win this flag.
I know that Moorey(and probably Malceski and Schaubs) stayed with the team and did all the training and even found time for that disgusting haircut.I saw him at training and doing the warm ups before the game and in the celebrations after the game.Roosy probably wanted the younger players to get the feel of the great day to wet their appetites for greater things. All the boys who had played this year were together at the groundand in the rooms pre and post match.I saw about 6 of them including Luke Vogels standing near the gate in their Swannie tops when the warm up was happening.Felt sorry for McVeigh with that bad injury.Actually we didn't use many players over the season.Must have a great medical staff.
