    Buchanan

I cant speak highly enough of this bloke
what a game he played and he has just improved out of sight

he just does all the 1%ers and never gives up
that tackle on nicoski was massive and that spoil on fletcher (?) after a kickout was huge in the context of the game

and that goal was pretty handy
could have almost pinched a norm smith too

amon buchanan - i salute you mate

sweet angel of mercy. a great game. everyone at my barbeque has sworn to name their first child amon. 'twas my excitable girlfriend's idea.
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

We are still riding off that SF final quarter by Nicky D! Watch the replay of Monty's goal that is from the cameras behind the goals- Monty gets a lot of space because what seems like the entire WCE team ignore him and run to cover Nicky D. Living in fear!
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

yeah i noticed that too, nicky D was lurking right behind him

we've gotta hand it to the coaching staff and the players to how they set up around the ball ups. jason ball was instrumental again

plus when he palmed it down to buchy on the wing and he hit ROK on the lead - buchanan lifted his game to another level today, just wish he had have nailed that set shot in the 3rd qtr

Slippery little bugger isn't he? I love watching him wiggle his way out of congested situations and banging it onto his left foot. Great final quarter yesterday, would have been a worthy Norm Smith medallist.

A fantastic last quarter and great involvement in the biff early in the game.

A stat the other night suggested that he finishes matches off very strongly.

As I've said many times before, just very clever at getting the ball and getting clear. Has really good one-grab hands and awareness of play.

Did anyone see him holding up the "Amen Amon" banner at the post match function? He was one of the players that you could tell was just really, really enjoying himself and soaking up the win.

Yeah - he seemed rapt with everything, including his banner!

I dont know that I have seen a player in my whole time of watching footy who actually goes up a couple of gears in the last Q.

Testament to how he is rotated off the bench. I notice that Roosey tends to rest him in the 3rd Q then launch him into the last Q action. His 1%'s in the last Q were something to behold.

How good is it to know that this bloke is around for years to come.

And already the radio jocks are playing down our immediate future, questionong whether we have the cattle to do it again, given retirements etc.

Maybe it was just me, but I reckon he was robbed of the NSM.

Great game. Hauled us over the line.

Has proved that re-drafting him was the right decision and I expect to see him in the Seniors for a long long time to come.

I felt like his efforts when we dropped down by 10 points really lifted the rest of the team and showed them we could still win it.
