I quite like Jade, I think he is a good key backman. We are most certainly not a sensible club too.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Er, what? I haven't liked the way they've used McVeigh this year - He has an enormous engine, yet he's been sitting at FF. Next year I'm hoping he steps up. Wouldn't be suprised if he's a slow developer though - If his brothers any precedent.

McVeigh is one of our best near-term options as an outside running midfielder. Fosdike has been good in patches for us, but I think McVeigh can play a similar role but better.

The Ricky Barham rule might come into action here. This is the bloke who told Geelong that he'd only play for them if they gave him a chaffeur driven car between Melbourne and Geelong for every training session.
          We hate Anthony Rocca
          We hate Shannon Grant too
          We hate scumbag Gaspar

            Not an unreasonable request...

And he's 20 years old FFS.

On Rawlings, I must say when I saw it in the paper I thought maybe.

I still think he's shot due to the knee problems, so the only way you'd be interested is if he came virtually for free (in terms of a trade), with half of his salary paid for by the Bulldogs as well.

If no other clubs are interested that (ie. getting him for very little) would have to be a distinct possibility - what the Bulldogs get is another spot on their list and save a couple of hundred thousand dollars.

It's in Rawlings interests as well - there's no chance the Bulldogs are going to let him play 10 games next year, which would make 2006 his last unless he leaves now.

Not sure that we'd be wanting Shannon Motlop but I read a couple of weeks ago that Daniel has asked to be traded. He apparently wants to be closer to "home" - up in the NT.

I'm not sure that Sydney is really closer enough to Darwin than Melbourne is to make any real difference but he is a quality player. However, he's probably not the type of player that we're particularly looking for, given that he's predominantly a HFF and hasn't shown the ability to play in the midfield for sustained periods of time.

I hope we get in on some of these complicated deals that look like happening. Like Essendon are so good at winning out of.

Disagree. Don't think he's ever been that good. He's soft, and not very creative. What has he got going for him?

Saddington to Roos, Motlop to Carlton, Camporeale to Essendon, Laycock to St Kilda, Goddard to Hawthorn, Everitt to Sydney?

Yeah just like that, but if Essendon's involved, I bet they'll find some way to screw everyone else

                            Soft? Uhhuh.

Not very creative? Does every player have to be Kennelly like with creativety?

What does he have going for him? Decent skills, a good mark, size, versatility, experience.

Decent skills - They're ok, but not exceptional.

Good Mark - Disagree. He's not hopeless in the air, but for a bloke of his size, he doesn't take a lot of marks.

Versatility - Sure he's versatile, but just average in any position he plays.

Experience - Experience counts for nothing if you're not a good footballer, and I don't think he is a good footballer.

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one, but I don't see him as part of our future.

Agree with all points above but given his limited trade value I'm willing to give him another year to step up.
