    The WHAT , Mr.Iemma?

"Reflecting on the final quarter, the Premier had a few anxious moments.

"I was biting my finger nails towards the end waiting for the hooter to sound," he said.

"Leo Barry's mark, well, that was the greatest mark of all time. It was a premiership mark and where I was watching it everyone just erupted."

    The HOOTER ?
And this from a bloke who played Aussie Rules.
As you can see , fellow missionaries , we still have much work to do in NSW.

At least he didn't say Leo Barry's "catch".

Is "hooter" a league term or what? A NSW term? I've never heard it before...

When I first read that, I thought it might be what they called it at his club games. Suburban grounds might only have hooters. Or maybe he's just got a thing about hooters?

Always thought "Hooter" was a adult-themed restaurant

Always been a siren to me regardless of it being AFL or League

No that's hooterS! I always thought the terms were somewhat interchangable - I call it a siren out of habit more than anything, but have heard the term on numerous occasions.

Al Bundy shared Iemma's appreciation of hooters?

And have we settled if it's league, NSW or SCG vs suburban gound that caused him to pick that word?
