Yep, but it is a commercial station. This was more about the team and the parade than the television viewing public. I am pleased with what I saw of it. I am pleased for the players and the whole club with the turn-out.
I was pleased to hear Ryan Phelan point out the amount of youngsters in the crowd - they are the future. I was aghast at the Sydney Mayor having to put in a plug for Wests Tigers at the end - I thought this was for the Swans - Get used to it Mayor - We're taking over - Sydney is Red and White today !!!Comment

The premier's speech was full of cliches - if it wasn't quoting something Roos had said in one of his speeches, he was quoting lines from the club song. At least he sounded passionate though, and he did say that the best trophy in Australian sport was in Sydney's hands, so at least that makes up for the cliches somewhat...Originally posted by anniswan
Maybe someone who was there can tell us what the Premier said, by the sounds of what Roos said it was pretty good.
Channel Ten didn't show it.
I'm on the Chandwagon!!!
If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Yep, the Parade itself looked good and there seemed to be a huge turnout!
But,
the video was very choppy at times
the audio was even worse
according to Ryan Phelan the Swans won a flag in their first year in the comp - '33!
Still, it was good to see the crowd - particularly the young 'uns!Last edited by Foreign Legion; 30 September 2005, 01:26 PM.Comment
