Worth no higher than a 2nd round pick and that's being generous.

Richards at 22 and and 194-centimetre defender played one of his better games of a season against us.
I agree he might do a craig bolton and become a mobile full back? Comes from good football stock and has completed his apprenticeship. Make or break time for him. I would risk him.Comment

With Sheady's history of player treatment, I don't know why anyone would want to play for them.
Look at Blumfield. He would still have an AFL career if it wasn't for Sheady.
Unless a player is near retirement, you'd be crazy to want to go there as a young player.
If the McVeigh rumours are right, I'd let him go for a top 10 pick to Sheady. Although I'd prefer he stays and his brother stays down south. In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.Comment

Could be worse though. They could be considering Courtney Johns. FMD there has not been a bigger dud on an SNDon list since Ryan O'Connor.Comment

How many more times will we be bitten
Who would be better Richards or Powell ?
With 5 retirements - do we need to trade at all ?September 24th, 2005 5.14pm

He?s not that bad. ?Played some excellent games at FB in the absence of Fletcher last year, but this season looks like he?s lost his spot to K. Bradley (who isn't any better IMO). Very good height for a KP, and seems to get bulkier every year. Can play back, forward or pinch-hit in the ruck. At 22, I see him in the same vein as Jolly (or LRT for that matter) ? needs game time to shine.
It?s not like Essendon are shopping him around -- he wants to leave them. This ain?t another Bomford. If it were Henneman, I?d be screaming along with Reggie.
Second rounder + Powell. Sheedy loves those ?no regard for personal safety? types. To all those people who waited 72 years to see a South Melbourne/Sydney Swans premiership HERE IT IS!!Comment

Trade updates
Listening to SEN over the net. Compliments of public holiday here in NSW.
They spoke to some coaches entering before the 10:30 am start.
Roos said that he confirmed that Saddington and Powell both want to leave. He will talk to Hawthorn about Spida.
I'd be happy if this was the deal for Spida. Although we'll probably lose our first pick somewhere along the line.In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.Comment

Ted Richards Coming to Swans?
Richards quits Dons
Richards met the Bulldogs last Tuesday and is believed to have recently been flown to Sydney by the Swans, against whom the 194-centimetre defender played one of his better games of a season that amounted to 10 appearances. Despite a late flourish to the year, Richards did not play a match between rounds six and 16, and has played only 33 matches in the four seasons since his debut in 2002.
The clubs interested in Richards have been told that a first-round draft pick will be required to get a deal done but Essendon may have to accept a second-round pick unless Sydney is prepared to part with its first pick, the last of the first round at selection 19. It is understood the Bulldogs are not prepared to consider their first pick, selection 11, as part of a deal for Richards. Our Greatest Moment:
