I'm curious why everyone is assuming he will play down back. He has played most of his games as a forward, with a few games as a defender when the Bumbers were missing some defenders. I expect he will play a similar role for us.

Pick #19 will help us win a flag instead? Certainly not next year, and probably not ever if the draft is as thin as expected.

He is reportedly weak in one-to-one contests. His best position is 3rd defensive tall. Does that resemble someone>>

Dont think his football skills are as good as Saddo though. At 22, Saddo is already in our best 22 with excellent football skills. We destroyed him by asking him to play a position (CHB) which he does not suit to.

This would mean we must be looking to shift out RoK. With RoK, Davis, etc... we dont need an extra tall forward flanker.

Davis should be in the midfield next year. At least fifty percent of games..

You say that, but will it really happen. When Roos came on board he said the 1st round draft picks werent tradable. In the last 2 years we've sold them off without a quarm. Do you really think we wont do it again?
One problem is it won't be easy to trade for picks in next year's draft as everyone has the same idea from what I hear around the traps. According to Kevin Sheehan the order of the top 10 for 2006 is just about set in stone they stand out so much.

So we gave Pick 19 and some people are whining. Lets not forget we chose Ryan Fitzgerald with a Top 10 pick - Where is he now? We had Leigh Brockman from Geelong (who I am pretty sure was a very high pick - I think Top 10 originally) our own Jarrad McVeigh was Pick 5 but didn't play in the Grand Final etc. etc. etc.

Our recent trading history (say except Spriggs to date - not that we gave much up for him) has been very good - So lets give the guy a chance.

As for younger guys doing well after leaving Essendon read: Stephen Milne, Josh Mahoney, Adam Kingsley, Brett Montgomery, Gavin Wanganeen (was already established though) - Some Premiership players already mentioned. Not to mention Danny Jacobs.

As an official BomberBlitz member, I think I should share our "DONT LEAVE TEDDY" thread for you RWO people.

If we get rid of Teddy or welsh i will go ape ******** they are both 22 and great players.
Let's just hope the club can somehow convince him of the blindingly obvious -- that he is much better than Zantuck and Henneman.
Sheedys insane love of Bolton has now driven out two players who ******** all over Bolton
