    Richards to Swans

On big Footy. Ted Richards and pick 55 for our first pick 19 & 51.
Hope he ends up being a serviceable player.

    on essendon's official site aswell

only way we win out of this is if he plays a lot of games next year or essendon fans will think sheedy has won again like they are saying on big footy at the moment

      Richards to Sydney

Richards and Pick 55 to Sydney.
Pick 19 and 51 to Essendon.

it is a weak draft and he has poetential it could work out, doesnt bother me, doesnt please me. I trust the club

Perhaps it's time that Sheedy got one wrong.

Well some Don fans think Richards is a dud, but now we have a mature player who could potentially fit directly into the side.

Wonder now where that leaves Saddo and Powell. One or both now appear to be in the about-to-be delisted column.

The leader is good, the leader is great.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

So what's our current first pick then - Number 55? If so I hope there's another Goodes waiting around that number.

Several other clubs were interested so he can't be too bad. Also he is a reasonable size and he wanted to come to Sydney.

Gives us a back-up tall option down back. The club's recruiting team obviously feel they have more to gain from a couple of young players with some experience (and some evidence of their ability at the top level) compared with having to use pick 19 in what is widely regarded as a thin draft.

                      I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Well it is pretty clear that Roos and co have no real respect for any of the talent on offer this year!!! (Which I have no problem with btw)

So we will still have Saddo, Powell and possibly ROK/Luke Ablett as trade bait for someone else?

Surely someone will take Saddo? Where are you Rocket?!!

Well!!! Saddo and Powell going cheap for draft picks, I reckon. See if we can grab a pick in the high 30s for both of 'em or something what have the dogs got to offer?

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....
