Did anyone catch the 2001 rd 16 game against the Crows last night? One of my favourite games to watch. Playing at Football park where the new stand was just built and having 45 000 ferals against us, it was one of our best wins that year.

Jason Ball perhaps played one of the best games i have seen from an individual Swan ever. He kicked 4-5 goals and had 25 or so possessions.

Watched the first half - what a great 8 goal second quarter!

Funny to see our bench early in the second quarter - Kirk, J Bolton, Kennelly, O'Keefe.

Also funny to see the free kick count - 10-1 in our favour at one stage!

Ball was awesome. Was also good to see our solid backline of Dunkley and Seymour.

Yeah he was great. But best you have seen from a swan? Surely that's a bit over the top.

Better than Plugger kicking 16 against Fitzroy?
Or Teaser killing Colingwood at Vic Park in 77...I don't think so.

            Exactly.

From all reports, Teaser was amazing that day in '77. I saw Lockett's 16, I think it just shaded Ball's performance

That was one of the few games I missed in 77, but I saw the replay...he was absolutely awesome. I remember in the old Sun newspaper, they used to rate every player out of 10, Teaser got 10/10 for that game, the only other player to get 10/10 was Ricky Quade against Melb at the MCG in 75 or 76, again, awesome inspirational stuff...I was at that game

Ball did have a blinder that day in Adelaide but he was just as good in the finals this year. We had everything but a decent full-forward that year. Seeing Staff and Kel' struggling in the forward 50 still makes me tight in the guts.

Ball had 25 disposals, kicked 5 goals, took 7 marks and had 9 hitouts. Pretty decent effort!

It was a superb effort from a ruckman/forward. How about that snap goal of his? Out of his arse that one was. Jude also snapped a beauty in that game without even looking at the goals.
