carlton axed him reckon he is worth a look at ive seen him play a few good games i know having carlton axed me on your resume isnt really good but he could be handy if we had a few injuries wouldnt go out of our way to get him but if he is still around late on in the draft might be worth a look as we have a few vacant spots

Re: Brett Johnson
We are not in the market for a Brett Johnson, we already have Spriggs as a ready made midfield replacement and if we get the improvement we expect from our youngsters next year we will have McVeigh, Malceski, Moore, Willoughby & Schmidt all ahead of him and pushing for a spot in the 22. Not to mention both Fixter & Sunquist who could still play a part next year.Originally posted by swans05

If we are to participate in the pre season draft then maybe Brett Montgomery from Port Adelaide may be of interest on a 1 year deal, but only as insurance for multiple injuries down back.

Brett Johnson v Troy Selwood?
Ummm.... not a tough decision, IMHO.
I really don't want Johnson..We shouldn't take a pick in the pre-season, with our pick being so high. You know, cause we're premiers.Comment

Rather see Brian Johnson and Eddie Cochran in a Swans jumper than these 2.

We're not. Well, not before the Breakfast Creek Hotel is up for sale again. I just want to see at least one of the Selwoods playing in the red and white at some stage. Preferably sooner rather than later. I live in hopeOriginally posted by Bleed Red Blood

I reckon the call on Spriggs was a bloody good one. He was clearly the fittest man in our squad according to pre-season results, and pushed the players towards his elite level of fitness. And it showed in our ability to finish games. Although he didnt have much impact on the field, the way he seemingly pushed the other blokes seems like it was a worthwhile pick up.Originally posted by Nico

Don't think they will make another Spriggs error.- Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!Comment

Speaking of rejects, do you think Roos would look into recruiting Damian Cupido? We all know he has major attitude problems, but if anyone could fix him up straight it would be Roosy.
Cupido has some very good skills when he is switched on and is still relatively young.
I wouldn't mind giving him a go with a late pick.Official Driver Of The "Who Gives A @@@@ As The Player Will Get Delisted Anyway" Bandwagon.
