Ted Richard looks to bump Bazza out

TED Richards is a smart cookie.

    ...

Richards sees himself as a tall half-forward

LOL. I wonder what Roos will do with him. I doubt there is a space in the forward line for him, so he will have to play down back if he wants regular appearances.

BTW we still haven't got a reaction from Chambo yet. I assume he would be happy moving up considering our ruck stocks.

He'll play up forward and do well in my opinion. I doubt that we gave away our first pick for him to be just a fringe player. I think they'll give him every opportunity to succeed.

Will spend the majority of the year in Canberra and can play whatever position he wants.

Any reason as to why you would say this? Far too early for this crap.

I imagined he would play in defense on Gehrig, Richardson etc. but I didn't really compare his size to the rest of our Back line, I just assumed he was a bit bigger. And I am too lazy to look it up now.

On the swans website, he is listed at 194cm and 85kg. Tall flanker size ala Saddo.

He might be able to play though. Saddo can't

He says that it was hard to play forward at Essendon with LLoyd, Lucas & Hird/Hille.

Well i think we have alot better forward line which is harder to get in.

That was his stats maybe 5 years ago.

He is 194cm and 96kg. Same size as Goodes. He is solid, I was surprised at his height when I looked him up a couple of years ago, width makes a person look shorter, look at Buccy...

but he approached coach Kevin Sheedy at the end of last year and asked to re-invent himself as a defender.

Richards see himself as a Half forward, Bazza is a half forward, are we catching on yet?

Sorry...being still on holidays (Back to work Monday) I was looking for a direct quote...

Should say that even though we have a better more talented forward line than Essendon, Richards could get a kick with the Swans...have you ever seen Matthew Lloyd pass off when he is within range of goals!!!
