The small forward was one of Sydney's best in its shock preliminary final defeat of St Kilda at the MCG, kicking two goals and racking up 24 touches as the Swans finished all over the Saints.
shock preliminary final defeat?? Shock to the StK fans maybe.

When this finishes I'm going to sit back and relax for a while. I've been non-stop since the season so definitely after the series is finished I'm going to take it easy and hide on a beach somewhereOccupational hazards:

There's little doubt in my mind what's going on. His manager is doin' the Swans slowly for an extra [insert speculation about amount here].
This 'almost there, almost there' stuff has been going on for about 3 weeks now, and there's just a tiny undercurrent of threat in the careful wording he uses: "I haven't pushed the issue to come back [to Melbourne] yet." The concept-- implied but not stated-- that he has no idea what's going on with negotiations for his own salary and his own playing future, is rather amusing.
Saddo's departure (bearing in mind that Ted and Chambers will command a lesser salary than Saddo was on) will only have further strengthened his bargaining position. It was already strong enough with a happy combination of good form, multiple senior player retirements, no high-profile players getting traded in, and relatively few Swans coming out of contract this year. Sydney would look very silly saying, "We'd love to pay you X, but we can't fit it in under the cap", and everyone knows it.
No doubt, unless negotiations turn unexpectedly nasty, ROK will be lining up for the Swans next year. He'll just be a rather richer wearer of the #5.Comment

Every premiership players value would have increased when they bought home the flag. So whether it is this year or the year after or the year after that there will eventually be a squeeze, even with our little extra. It will be interesting to see what happens over the next couple of years especially if we go "back to back"!!go bloods!!Comment
