No Carlton beat us years ago with Craig Bradley
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

              Did a quick Google search:
Talented Claremont midfielder, Ryan Brabazon, made a clean sweep of the WAFL colts? awards last night winning the prestigious Jack Clarke Medal for the Colts Fairest & Best, and the WAFL 200 Club Colts Coaches Award.

Had to restock the Matthew and Ryan quota.

Schmidt, Willoughby, Bevan, Schneider, Monty, Lablett, Brabazon, Laidlaw, Thornton, Williams, JBolton, Kirk, Tagdh, Mathews, Crouch, Garubba, Goodes, O'Keefe, M.Davis, Dempster, Malkeski, McVeigh, Spriggs = Midfield, flank, onball.

Shaw, Erikson, Hall, Micky O, Leo, CBolton, Chambers, LRT, Jolly, Doyle, Grundy, Vogels = Key position, ruck.

                  Richards, flank or key position?

I don't understand this draft policy. Barham better have some tricks up his sleave.

So that's 13 midfielders under the age of 23. Seems a tad excessive.

Cheetham and Grima will both be in the rookie draft, but probably won't be available by pick 16.

It appears that the Swans have strong faith in Luke Vogels and Heath Grundy.

People had Grundy down as a top 20 pick last year and he fell to 2nd (or was it 3rd) round in the rookie list.

The only "constant" about drafting is that there are a lot of people around who think they know about the potential of kids whose views don't coincide with those of recruiters.

Sure. I'm only going on weight of opinion.

It's still disappointing that we didn't get a tall - the options were there. Lucy went at #66 - two weeks ago he was favoured to go at 9 to Brisbane. Michael West was available at our first two picks. Grima and Cheetham slipped through. Why do we need three more midfielders? I was happy enough to get one... but three?

Seems to me almost 9 of our senior list are Ky position or near keys. How many do you need exactly?

I think we have twelve, with six being ruckman. Leo, Magic and Hall are all going to be 29 next season. That leaves Vogels and Grundy as replacements. Is two enough?

I'm assuming the nine you refer to are Hall, Bolton, O'Loughlin, Barry, Roberts-Thomson, Goodes, Vogels, Grundy and Richards.

Only six of them - Hall, O'Loughlin, Roberts-Thomson, Vogels, Grundy and Richards - play their best footy in a key position. Two of those are 29.

We seem to be investing a lot of faith in the remaining four.
