No thanks. Brett Kirk.Vicky Pollard: Oh my god I so can't believe you just said that this is like the time I threw Anita's nokia in the canal as a joke and she's like you have well got to buy me another one and I'm like get over it and then Paul came over who's adopted anyway and started saying that I fancy Mark Bennett but oh my god just because I have sex with someone doesn't mean I fancy them.Comment

For mine Kirk showed more on-field leadership throughout the finals and would have been the better choice. The cinyc in me says bazza has a better iconic value for a Sydney market and may influence the decision. Not too shabby a second choice thoughOriginally posted by Sanecow
Premierships won under Kirk's captaincy: 0

I assume he will still be part of the "leadership group" and contribute in the same way in 2006. I am officially on the Kirk bandwagon but Bazza does seem more marketable.Originally posted by shippo

No to the first statement
Yes to the second
I want Kirk!!"No, that's completely incorrect," Roos said. "We've [the match committee] got our thoughts, but certainly it hasn't got to that stage. I haven't spoken to the board and said Barry is going to be captain. As I said, that talk is incorrect.Comment

We all know Hall was damned lucky to play at all in the GF. A Captain doesn't do things that can cost a premiership.Originally posted by Sanecow

I hope he's made captain. His mark and goal in the last quarter of the GF is enough to suggest to me that he's up to it. That goal gave the rest of them a bit more belief I reckon.Bloods

The leadership group has taken a battering this year, with Maxfield, Ball and Schauble leaving (I think the three of them were in it).Originally posted by Sanecow

Under Roos it has been the captain plus ten others. My tips... Hall, Mathews, C Bolton, Williams, Kennelly, O'Loughlin, Barry, J Bolton, Crouch, Kirk and Goodes. We hate Anthony Rocca
We hate Shannon Grant too
We hate scumbag Gaspar
But Leo WE LOVE YOU!Comment

Good point Charlie. I'd be happy with any number of players as Captain.
I think Hall needs the captaincy more than Kirk does.Comment
