Is anyone seriously going to worried about the dyed-in-the-woolsd who have always been there?

Should they be that concerned? At the moment the club needs to ride high any financial gain they can possible get - Remember this is a club who a few years ago could have folded, yet again - When the hype goes down in a few years, i.e bottom four, then the club can be about the die hards again. I'm more than happy with that. They got us a premiership.

I didn't even bother to line up for photo's, but the day was entertaining, just witnessing the euphoria of the people was enough for me and seeing Doctor J nursing a hangover and trying to quell it with greasy food was enough to entertain me.

The day all up cost me about $500 with membership and merchandise, the staff were pleasant and the Swans Idol was mildly amusing.

Maybe I am just too easy to please.

and the frozen fruit thingys were yummy.

Too much banana. It was probably the healthiest thing I'd eaten in a month though, so it gets points there.

          Speaking of frozen thingys...
We are all complaining about the turn out we got .. me included but poor jane and bo having to fight the wind with the tent hassels and not even getting to see any players at all. I know she chose to do that BUT you gotta feel for her. Not only did she not get to enjoy her " idols" but she got burnt had a tent almost fall on her and had to work hard all day.
I was disappointed BUt over all i cant complain i was the first to get a photo taken so didnt have to do the huge pathetic line and got my stuff signed as Noggy was about to leave the tent. I got to do what i wanted and was just happy for the rest to flash past by me.. Hubby actually comment on me being sunburnt and i just didnt care if a bus ran me over LOL
Went to the office today and the girls avtually asked me if i enjoyed yesterday and I was like .. you want me to lie ? and she said no so i said well i was actually bored BUT maybe it was coz i only went for one player and once i got my "job" done i had nothing else to do lol

I didn't know that Jane and Bo were doing the frozen thingys, if we would have known, we could have made that the RWO meeting place.

And here I was judging the club on what they were paid to do... play football! Silly me.

                        It sort of worked.

To be honest, the only reason I got there was because I promised junior Dr. J that he would get his photo taken holding the cup. If it wasn't for that obligation, the hangover would have kept me at home.

                          What a pathetic attitude.

You had the entire team down there after the Grand Final and it seems a pretty good turnout of players on the weekend. You should be grateful there has been any such event at all (as rightfully pointed out, no such family day in Sydney).

Most of the 'senior' players have been doing various legs of the premiership tour of NSW and have now resumed training.

I don't know how much time you want to extract from the players but I find the letter you wrote selfish and I am sure embarassing to the majority of Swans fans.

You should be grateful for the time put in by those players in attendance, not whingeing about those who may have had better things (i.e families) to attend to.

                                I can't agree with you melb_swan012,

The club and the Melbourne Office in particular have gone out of their way to make sure we get a family day and access to the players at aftermatches on at least two occasions a year after our games. We also get an annual dinner as well which is attended by all players.

The only issue I can see at present is that we don't have a permanent meeting place/club for just Swans supporters to watch games on TV etc. This may however be solved with the restoration of the old stand at the Lakeside Oval.
