Come on guys - we've had a great run this year. We've all had the chance to get unrestricted access to the Premiership cup at least twice since the Premiership (I have friends that follow Essendon that have never touched a Premiership Cup) & some Melbourne based clubs charge their fans too.
Paul Roos is all class & remember that some of the players basically haven't stopped since GF day (US trip in Jan to come too). We need to support the club & the players.
To the Melbourne Swans office, well done. Lucinda, Rebecca & Tony Morword do a fantactic job. Would have been good if Skilt's or Barry Round have of been there, but I enjoyed it for the 2 odd hrs I was there. (apart from the flies - it was like a bee swarm).
Thumbs up to the club for me.
2005 will live forever (or until we win another premiership)

    GO BLOODS!!!!!!!!

Quite a number of us are...but MS12 doesn't speak for any of us as far as I can tell

I am & I don't think the bagging was warranted, especially in light of Tadhg's father passing away - poor taste & very low on the priority list. Maybe some of the players knew & are spending time with him in Sydney.

i think this was before that Mark.

But i agree with, um I can't remember who said it but i'm sure the boys' plates have been more than too full because of the premiership win.
and i don't think they personally decide who attends what appearances.
i'm not saying that what happened was ok, but i'm sure there are reasons

Tadhg's Dad died a couple of days after the family day, and the unwarranted complaint was made on Sunday night, so the two don't appear tp have any link. I hoped that most of the GF team would be there, but it doesn't matter that they weren't. It was a good day basking in the premiership glory

Guys, not to pick bones with you both, but do you think that there is a chance that they knew that his dad was gravely ill before Sunday?

Usually when that happens the press would say something about "after a long illness", ther has been no mention of it, so my guess is that it was sudden...not that it makes it any easier.

According to the GAA itwas sudden and unexpected Link

Either way, it's a very unfair and unwarranted criticism of MS, who couldn't possibly have known.
                    We hate Anthony Rocca
                    We hate Shannon Grant too
                    We hate scumbag Gaspar

I think that MS12's criticism was not warranted, but I think it is unfair to link her criticism with Tadhg's Dads death too

dunno babe but Tahdg was scheduled for the Manly cup tour tomorrow.
that and it was a heart attack, so rather sudden.

You should see the players they bring to family days over here..wanganeen, mcleod etc. they don't even play for the swans!

Quit your complaining, atleast you get family days. and more than 1 game a year.

I dont feel stooged at all in 2005.

                            WE WON THE FLAG.

Went with a few other friends to the Rising Sun a few weeks back to a turn organised by Tony Morwood with a panel of past players. Held the Cup and all that and had a great afternoon.

Decided not to got to the Family Day as my boys have moved on from the family theme. I will now choose to go to the boutique days put on by Tony. Each to their own.

Yep perhaps they could have had one of the leaders there, but some of those players there will be the leadership group of the future.

We will never get maximum match days in Melbourne so I will be trying to get to those little turns they put on to keep the footy passions ticking over.

ms_12 a few points. The team at the melbourne office have been doing a great job for a number of years now. Most the players you listed as being in attendence played in the premiership winning side, last time i checked a team of hacks don't win flags. Its always great to have new recruits in attendance as it gives us a chance to meet them and for them to aquaint themselves with the supporters. The only way i can see us being screwed in melbourne is by the AFL in terms of the draw. Essendon at Telstra and Geelong at SS (reserve a seat or miss out games). I was speaking to rebecca from the office a few months back and they had voiced their concerns about The essendon games to the AFL with no obvious response.

The other thing with the draw is that the Kangaroos, have played one of their home games in Canberra against us in the past (usually played in Melbourne), and the same has happened with the Bulldogs at the SCG, so the Melbourne based members miss out in this regard, this is purely down to the AFL and the other clubs concerned...has got nothing to do with the great work the Melbourne office does.

Just checked the fixture and this is the case again this year...so if you want to go off at someone get stuck into the AFL not the club!
