Horrible news, he seemed like a lovely man.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

True... it's sad that he'll never see Tadhg play in his All-Ireland final. Tadhg is much more likely to leave now, but who could blame him?

Yep, i'm now resigned to the fact as i was before the tragedy that he will leave at the end of his contract. I can't blame Tadhg, it was his child hood dream to win an all Ireland and i will wish him all the best. He doesn't owe us anything.

That's really bad. I got to meet him this year. He looked well. I'm glad he got to see Tadhg win a Premiership.

              RIP.

Terribly sad news for the Kennelly family, our thoughts are with them. Far too young. Hopefully Tadhg can win an All-Ireland in honour of his Dad.
                Bring it on!

Thoughts and condolences to Tadhg and family.

Even the greatest sporting achievement doesn't compare in importance with immediate family; everyone will be understanding if Tadhg does whatever is best for him and his clan after this tragic news.

This must be really devastating for Tadhg and his family.

I hope the club is able to organise some sort of commiserative gesture in respect to Tadhg and his father.

A perpetual scholarship for a young Gaelic footballer to train with Sydney, in a professional sporting environment, could be one idea.

I also spoke to him briefly (just congrats to Tadhg, etc) when I discovered he was standing almost next to me in the crowd at the tickertape parade. He was a very happy man.

Like others I think this now makes it almost certain that Tadhg will return to Ireland. My hope is that he will have quick success and then return to Sydney.
