From the pain of '96 to the elation of '05, I thought it would be interesting to compile a team of the decade. Best and fairest winners, Brownlow medalists and leading goalkickers are all automatic selections.

Roos should be CHB, even if he is coach as well

Fair team. Would have Roos in there before Seymour though - don't forget he was AA in 1996 and 1997. Probably put Davis in before Lewis as well.

1918 was a far more dominant team.

Roos wasn't in the team as he is coach.

Davis 91 goals, Lewis 76.
Out: Lewis
In: Davis

Ironically this is what we could have fielded during 2002, with the exception of Davis.

Roos was twice AA CHB in the three years that he played during the decade. That trumps a B&F in a non-finals year by a long way.

Since this team will never play, I don't see a problem with selecting Roos as both CHB and coach.

Don't know didn't see them play, but it could have been the 1909 or 1918 teams as well
